Happy New Year!!!!!!
Welcome back from break! We are gearing up for a wonderful spring semester filled with great learning opportunities, exciting activities and family events.
We were so proud of our Tiger class who produced an entire bake sale with the help of their teacher and Dr. Natarajarathinam for teaching the children the principles of entrepreneurship. The money raised will go to purchase something special for their classroom. This included value proposition and many other elements of the startup business model. You can check out the article of their lesson at http://engineering.tamu.edu/news/2016/12/19/texas-am-university-professor-shares-entrepreneurship-principles-with-preschoolers-for-holiday-bake-sale.
For this month, the classrooms will be engaged in topics such as winter, Arctic animals (penguins/polar bears), ice, snow, igloos, and the contributions of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The pre-kindergarten classrooms will be ramping up their lessons for kindergarten preparation. This will include number recognition, counting, writing numbers, letter recognition, spelling, and sight words.
We thank you for sharing your little “pearls” with us. We truly treasure them.
