Early Childhood Lead Teacher

Carolina Bratlien has been working in Early Childhood since 2001. She began teaching preschool at Becky Gates Children’s Center in August of 2012. She has held her Child Development Associate credential since 2001.

Carolina says the feeling of seeing children grow and learn different skills and build their confidence is what she enjoys the most about teaching.

Carolina’s favorite activity to do with children is art. She says “Art allows the children to express themselves. They are free to show off their personality and create anything they wish to create.” Her favorite book to read to the children in her classroom is Zero by Kathryn Otoshi.

“My dream as a young child was to become a teacher because of the wonderful teachers I had in my early life. They motivated me to do my best and I saw how much love they put into their jobs each and every day. Looking back, I am grateful for the turn of events that brought me to Becky Gates Children’s Center.”
