Early Childhood Co-Teacher

Erika Graciano-Rodriguez began her career in Early Childhood Education in 2004, and has been teaching at Becky Gates Children’s Center since September 2020. Her favorite part of working at BGCC is the children and their smiles. She has worked with children of all age groups from infant to pre-k, has experience in after school programming, and has served as Assistant Director and Director.

Ms. Erika is currently working on her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and plans to continue her education and work toward a Bachelor’s Degree. She has acquired certifications in Childcare Administration and as a Childcare Worker. She is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish.

What motivates Erika as a teacher is being a part of a child’s learning experience. She enjoys messy art activities where the children are able to use their imaginations. Her favorite books are the Pigeon Series by Mo Willems.

What inspired Erika to become a teacher are her past experiences, past educators, and seeing the care and patience they shared with her.

“I am blessed to be a part of setting the foundation for a great learning experience.”
