This month we say goodbye to the summer semester and hello to the fall semester! We wish our kindergartners all the best in school and welcome our new families joining us! This fall we have a lot of fun events planned. In August, we have New Family Orientation, Meet the Teacher, and Open House. In September we have a Parent Café and Picnic on the Playground (we are bringing back the food trucks!). During October we will have fall pictures, Scholastic Book Fair, and our 25^th Anniversary celebration, and in November, we will have our annual Fall Family Feast. The Becky Gates Children’s Center will be closed August 10 & 11 to prepare for the new school year. During this time, teachers are busy updating their classroom schedules and routines, redesigning their classroom spaces as well as obtaining new materials. Teachers take the time to carefully plan the physical environment knowing how it influences the children’s learning experiences. In addition, our teachers work on strategies for supporting the home and school connection as well as supporting families in separating from their children. We look forward to starting our new school year on August 14!

Mrs. Andrea, Gig Em Classroom Teacher, is retiring after 25 years of service to the Becky Gates Children’s Center. Please join us on August 9 to celebrate Mrs. Andrea!
