Howdy Families and Friends,
This time of year, I find myself reflecting on the growth we have seen in the children.
Our littlest Aggies in Howdy, Gig ’Em and Century Tree who began the year walking tentatively into the building, now run in and out with confidence. They have begun to use their words to communicate their needs. They use all their senses to understand of the world around them. They have created masterpieces with paint, markers, crayons, tissue paper, and many other loose parts. Gloria, Jana, Daisy, Zuleika, and Yessenia along with many student employees have provided a warm, nurturing environment in which the children thrived.
The children in Aggie Ring, Spirit of Aggieland, and Kyle Field have begun to enjoy playing with each other instead of just next to each other. They talk, sing, and laugh together throughout the day. They experiment with different ways to use materials and create the best works of art. The children have grown by leaps and bounds this year with the help of Martey, Joanna, Elaine, Teya, Rebecca, Madelyn, and many wonderful TAMU students.
Our friends in Whoop, Hullabaloo, and Maroon and White have turned their marks on paper into recognizable shapes and letters. They have spent time researching, exploring, experimenting, and investigating to learn about the world around them. With the support of Monica, Ceci, Erika, James, Mable, Madison, and amazing teaching assistants, they are confident, curious, inquisitive, and great problem solvers.
Michelle, Stephanie, Carolina, Khali, Mia, and many outstanding Aggies have provided a space for the children in the Reveille, Aggies, and 12th Man classrooms to learn about themselves and others. They have grown in their understanding of how we are similar and what makes us different and how we can support each other as we learn and grow.
Last, but certainly not least, are the friends in our summer school age program. Kaitlyn, Eliana, Madeline, Sylvia, Taylor and Will have worked together this summer to challenge, entertain, and enrich their lives.
