HOWDY FAMILIES AND FRIENDS!

2020 has been a challenging year, and as 2020 comes to a close, there are many things to be thankful for.

  1. Families are spending more time together than ever before! Have you had a chance to slow down and reconnect with your family? Have you enjoyed spending quality time with your little ones and finding the enjoyment in discovering new things together? Have you enjoyed cooking at home and trying out new recipes?
  2. Families are spending more time outside which is good for our health and using all of our senses. Nature walks and camping are among some of the favorite outdoor activities shared with us. Families have discovered a new love of gardening. The sound of laughter permeates the outdoor spaces families share together.
  3. Families are learning new skills. What new skills has your family learned? Have you spruced up your home or yard? Have you learned about new technology? Have you used a new tool? We enjoy seeing the before and after pictures of projects!
  4. (Most importantly) families are able to come to BGCC through all of this to learn and grow! We are thankful for our amazing teaching and kitchen teams and their quick ability to adapt and change continuously. Teachers are proving to be just as resilient as the children are!

We have received requests for information about holiday gatherings and playdates during COVID-19. The CDC has guidelines for holiday celebrations and small gatherings that cover considerations for hosting or attending gatherings, food and drinks at small holiday gatherings, and travel. Children’s Health published an article, Should I let my child have a playdate during COVID-19? This article lists considerations to make before having a playdate during a pandemic. Hopefully these resources help you make safe decisions for your family.

We have shared information with our staff about how to safely celebrate the holidays and the importance of keeping everyone at BGCC safe this holiday season. Together, we can ensure a safe and healthy environment for all of us to come to everyday.
