HOWDY FAMILIES AND FRIENDS!

May is a time for celebrations, and we have a lot to celebrate around here! We have 38 pre-kindergartners who will graduate in May, and we know they are going to ROCK kindergarten! We’ve also had a lot of parents excitedly walk in saying, “I PASSED!” We love sharing in their doctoral celebratory milestones! Check out our Center Spotlight to learn more about our pre-K graduates as well as our doctoral student parent accomplishments. Congratulations to all our graduates from pre-K to Ph.D.!

Teacher appreciation week is May 8-12, and we want to thank the Family Advisory Board for putting together a full week of appreciation surprises for our teaching staff. National PTAs theme this year: Teaching is HEART work! Teachers show up every day even when times are tough!  This is the time to celebrate the daily sacrifices teachers make for every child. We will honor them for going above and beyond to make positive impacts on our children’s learning and development. Teachers touch the HEARTS of our children in a special way and make lasting differences in their lives! Who knows this more than the children. When asked, “what do you appreciate [like] about your teacher(s)?” this is what BGCC children said:

“They ALWAYS have time to play.”

“They are nice.”

“They look beautiful!”

“They are kind.”

“They teach us!”

“They are kind to us.”

“At naptime, she gives us toys.”

“They teach.”

“They get new toys in the room and let us play.”

“EVERYTHING!”

Be sure to thank a teacher [or many teachers] for everything they do or have done to make all our futures bright!
