Center Spotlight: Sadie Shrestha

Sadie is our new Front Desk Student worker and we are excited to bring her on board. Here is a little bit more to get to know Sadie.

“Howdy! I am from Groves, Texas and this Fall will start my sophomore year here at Texas A&M. I am majoring in Kinesiology, specializing in Applied Exercise Physiology, and am hoping to enter the physical or occupational therapy field when I graduate! I am looking to join a women’s organization this coming semester and am super excited to get more involved around campus as well as meet some new people. A little about me is I love Harry Styles, listening to podcasts, and my dog!”

When talking about the center and her time thus far Sadie said, “I have loved working at Becky Gates Children Center so far! From day one everyone has been extremely helpful, welcoming, and kind. I never once have felt out of place. Every staff member’s love for their job and for the children shows, and the atmosphere of the whole center is great! One of my favorite things is how inclusive BGCC is and how they go above and beyond to cater to each individual child’s culture and way of life. Ever since high school I have babysat or worked at a daycare, so being able to see the kid’s happy faces every morning makes me so happy! I knew this job would be a great fit for me because it allowed me to still work in a similar environment while also gaining a completely new set of skills and knowledge. I look forward to my time here at Becky Gates Children Center and can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
