February is a busy month for us! Our national reaccreditation dates are February 22-25. The review will take place virtually. The administration team will hold iPads and use zoom for the rater to observe the classrooms. No recordings will occur. The classroom observations will be on Feb. 23 & 24. There are also zoom interviews scheduled for a variety of people. We will reach out to some of you individually to participate. Preparing and going through reaccreditation is an exhausting process. Make sure to send love to the teachers during this time.

Our playground renovation will also begin in February. As a refresher, we have been working over the last couple of years to design an outdoor natural learning environment. It began as a project in LAND 211. From there, we selected our favorite pieces from the undergraduate students, and passed along that information to the MLA students. Those students created a comprehensive design that was passed along to the professionals at Verdant. Everyone has been so great to work with and we are ecstatic to finally get the playground of our dreams!
